Independence

"Independence," oil on linen, 5"x7"

Detail of "Independence", oil on linen, 5"x7"

My painting is my life's visual diary. While gathering reference last spring at the Reeves Reed Rose garden in NJ, I realized my daughter running around the property was more interesting to me. This winter I started a new series of her incorporated in gardens. This is a small mini sketch of a piece I plan on interpreting larger.

I love it! I am always drawn to paintings with children especially little girls with sunlight on them. Looks great!

Hi Rob - Thank you for noticing the little green highlights. Presently I'm working on a large version... trying to replicate those little accidents isn't the easiest task. ha ha Thanks for stopping by...
